Internship Opportunities

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Roadmap – 40%

  • Product Roadmap: Own the product roadmap, defining and prioritising features, capabilities, and product variants based on market needs, customer input, and company strategy.
  • Backlog Management: Maintain a single prioritised backlog of everything customers request, the market demands, and the strategy requires. Make trade-off decisions on scope, schedule, and feature depth in collaboration with R&D.
  • Requirements Translation: Translate customer requirements and market trends into clear product requirements and user stories that the engineering team can execute against.
  • R&D Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the R&D Lead and engineering team to ensure priorities are aligned, technically feasible, and delivered in a logical sequence.

2. Market & Competitive Intelligence – 30%

  • Voice of the Customer: Serve as the voice of the customer internally. Systematically gather and log insights from customer engagements, partner discussions, and institutional interactions to ensure engineering decisions are driven by real market demand.
  • Competitive Analysis: Own the structured competitive overview: track competitor products, pricing, positioning, and roadmaps. Consolidate inputs from the entire team into actionable analysis that informs product decisions.
  • Go-to-Market Positioning: Define the value proposition and positioning for each product variant in collaboration with Business Development.

3. Pre-Sales & Customer Interface – 30%

  • Pre-Sales Support: Drive the pre-sales technical process together with Sales and relevant engineers, ensuring customer expectations are feasible before commitment.
  • Product Fit Assessment: Evaluate how well the standard product meets prospect needs. Identify what can be delivered as-is versus what requires customisation, and define what we can and cannot promise.
  • Customer Feedback Loop: Proactively initiate calls and meetings with customers, users, and partners to validate use cases, gather requirements, and close the loop between the market and the engineering team.

What you're bringing

  • Space industry experience: You bring several years of hands-on experience in the space industry. You understand the ecosystem, satellite manufacturers and operators, and you speak the language. A background in system engineering is a benefit.
  • Product mindset: You have a natural instinct for what to build and what to leave out. Prior experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager is a strong plus, but what matters most is a demonstrated ability to translate market signals into product direction.
  • Technical backbone: You have an engineering degree or equivalent technical background. You’re comfortable challenging engineers, understanding system-level trade-offs, and diving into specifications when needed.
  • Customer-facing confidence: You’re comfortable presenting to customers, agencies, and partners. You can represent the product externally and bring structured feedback back internally.
  • Hands-on: You’re strategic, but you’re also ready to write a user story, update the backlog, or jump on a customer call when needed. In a startup, we wear many hats.
  • Communicator: You excel at simplifying complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for both engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Languages: English proficiency is mandatory. A second language (Dutch, German, French, etc.) is appreciated.

What's in it for you?

Joining EDGX means becoming part of an exciting journey to revolutionise the space industry. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Direct Impact: You define the product. Take up a central role to shape what EDGX builds next.
  • International Exposure: Represent EDGX at conferences and customer meetings across Europe and worldwide. Interface with leading satellite manufacturers and operators.
  • Startup Culture: Join a fast-growing spacetech startup with a young, driven team and a dynamic, hands-on culture.
  • Professional Growth: Grow your role as the company scales — from first Product Owner to leading a product function.

And of course, a range of benefits that will keep you satisfied and supported:

  • Compensation & Benefits: Receive a competitive salary package with extra-legal benefits, including a company car or mobility budget.
  • Team Life: Take part in monthly Wacky Fridays with team events, dinners, and team-building activities.
